Choosing Wisely

Sushi is a great choice for a great lunch, if you choose wisely. To some it can be the best part of their day. To others it can be their last time there. I had the pleasure to lunch here on Thursday with some friends from work. We ordered some bento boxes, some sushi and then went off for some dessert. Pinkberry is amazing!

Tips about eating here:

1. Order the bento box. It has a little bit of a lot.

2. Order 1-2 special rolls and share them. Keeps the cost down.

3. Always plan to have something sweet. Order a Mochi ball (Mango is my favorite) or plan around your favorite yogurt shop. This will satisfy your urge but order the small and you won't regret it after.

4. Eat all of it slowly. Enjoy every bite and you will feel better when you are done. If you rush you will fill up too fast and wish you had stopped 20 minutes before. Nobody like to feel stuffed. It sucks and then you'll complain all day about doing so and how you will never do it again.

5. Know your menu before order. If your new, go with people who know. Ask them what's good and listen to them or you will end up like Nelli. She asked what's good but didn't listen when we (Alex and I said "Bento". So she got sick. But we did not. Granted a Spider Roll shouldn't get you sick but some people are not built with iron stomachs like me.

6. Don't go off menu too much. No side of this or side of that. This may cause people not to lunch with you and put you in the high maintenance category.

Here are some Pinkberry tips.

Ask if they have a stamp card system. If they do, ask for a new card every time you go. When they discontinue the special they still have to honor the cards with one stamp or more until they are full. So fill them up one at a time. DO NOT COMBINE THEM.

This means that eventually you will have as many free yogurts as you have cards. The other way you would have gone in seven times and only gotten 1 free. Sure you have to wait longer for the free ones but it's a place you would be going into anyway. You're not going to stop going because the special is over. So from now on you will get a stamp on a card every time even if the special is over. It's the perfect crime.
